Clevedon recently returned from the World Pilot Gig Championships, held annually on the May Day bank holiday weekend on the beautiful Isles of Scilly.
Capacity restrictions meant we only took a single boat (Blackbird) again this year. That didn't hold Clevedon back, our results were to be proud of! Clevedon took a big group to the Scillies where the sun came out but there was a lot of chop to battle with.
Results for Clevedon:
Super Vets (aged 50+) coming in 14th.
Ladies Super Vets (aged 50+) finished 26th.
Mens A were 101st after the long race but bounced back, going up two groups to finish 82nd out of 131.
Mens B (rowing in "Golden Eagle") came 98th out of 131.
Ladies A getting a win in group F to make the podium! Coming in at a strong 61st of 128.
Clevedons Masters (aged 60+) finishing 12th in their final round out of 21 (rowing in "Weston Spirit").
